1. Hire charges & days. Hire is charged per calendar day covered by the booking (e.g. Saturday to Sunday is a 2-day hire). Current rates are displayed on this website. Discounts apply to the hire fee and hireable add-ons — never to deposits, purchased pin converters, or number plates.
2. One payment. Your total covers the hire fee, any add-ons, and a refundable security deposit, paid together at booking through Stripe (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay). We never see or store your card details.
3. Deposit. The refundable deposit is £75 or 50% of the discounted hire fee, whichever is greater (100% of the hire fee for European use, plus a £50 EU/DVLA admin fee). The deposit is refunded through Stripe after the trailer and all hired add-ons are returned in good condition.
4. Cancellation. Cancel more than 48 hours before your hire start date for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the start date forfeit the deposit. Where a number plate has been printed, the £15 cost is non-refundable but the plate is delivered to you.
5. Booking confirmation. Bookings are reserved instantly online and held for a short payment window (typically 15 minutes). If payment is not completed within that window, the booking may be cancelled automatically and the dates released. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any booking we cannot fulfil or verify.
6. Isle of Wight service area. All trailers are located, delivered and collected on the Isle of Wight only, within the standard 5:00pm–8:00pm window. Delivery and collection is either free (during our launch period) or charged by distance from Shalfleet at the rates displayed on this website at the time of booking. Customers travelling from the mainland are responsible for their own ferry arrangements. Same-day bookings are not available.
7. Towing responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is suitable and legal for towing, that your licence permits it, that your insurance covers it where required, and that your vehicle's electrics (7-pin or 13-pin) match or are correctly converted.
8. Your documents. We require your UK driving licence, proof of address dated within the last 3 months, and confirmation of towing cover where applicable — uploaded at booking, sent by email, or shown in person and verified at handover. Where a number plate is ordered, a V5C must be uploaded at the time of booking, as required by law before a plate can be printed.
9. Damage, loss & misuse. You are responsible for the trailer and all hired equipment from delivery until collection. Damage, loss, or misuse may result in some or all of the deposit being withheld; costs exceeding the deposit will be invoiced or charged at collection. Condition is recorded with timestamped photographs at delivery and collection.
10. Add-on returns. All hired add-ons (ratchet straps, nets, sack trucks and hired pin converters) must be returned with the trailer. Purchased pin converters are yours to keep. Unreturned items are charged at replacement cost from the deposit, or invoiced/charged at collection if greater.
11. Extensions. Hires may be extended through this website or arranged directly with us, subject to live availability. Extension days are charged at the standard daily rate and are payable at the time of extension. Extensions are a continuation of the original hire and remain subject to these terms in full.
13. Eligibility & permitted use. Hirers must be at least 18 years old and hold a full valid UK driving licence. The trailer must not be sub-hired, lent to another party, used for any unlawful purpose, loaded beyond its stated capacity, or used other than for the purpose of a road-going trailer. The hirer is responsible for safe and legal loading at all times.
14. Faults during hire. If any fault, damage or safety concern arises during the hire (including tyres, lights, couplings or brakes), you must stop using the trailer and contact us immediately. Continued use of a faulty trailer is at the hirer's risk, and any additional damage caused by continued use may be charged.
15. Acceptance. Ticking the booking declarations and signing the on-screen signature box constitutes your acceptance of these terms. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
