Doorstep handover across the Isle of Wight is included on orders of two plates or more. Single plates can be collected, posted, or delivered for a small charge — you'll see it in the summary before you commit.
Every business in the UK that makes or sells number plates has to be on the DVLA's Register of Number Plate Suppliers. It was brought in to stop stolen vehicles being disguised with cloned plates, and it puts a duty on us to know who we're supplying and to confirm they're entitled to the registration.
So we check two things: who you are, and that the registration is yours to use. We keep the record the DVLA requires for three years and make it available to them, the police or Trading Standards on request. Your uploaded images are deleted once we've verified them — we don't sit on copies of your licence.
It's a few extra minutes at your end. It's also the reason a plate from us is one nobody can question.
